Does Contrapunk generate audio or MIDI?
Section titled “Does Contrapunk generate audio or MIDI?”Both, depending on the surface. Desktop and web builds can use built-in sound. DAW MIDI-effect workflows generate note events for another instrument. Contrapunk Guitar passes track audio and publishes MIDI through CoreMIDI.
Does it compose a complete song?
Section titled “Does it compose a complete song?”No. Contrapunk reacts to your performance using configured harmony, counterpoint, canon, and pattern strategies. You provide the phrase, articulation, register, dynamics, form, and silence.
Why are there fewer arrangements than the catalog describes?
Section titled “Why are there fewer arrangements than the catalog describes?”Production menus intentionally show only fully implemented arrangements. Drafts stay hidden until their shared engine behavior, controls, capability gates, persistence, and note cleanup are complete.
Can Logic’s MIDI FX listen directly to my guitar track?
Section titled “Can Logic’s MIDI FX listen directly to my guitar track?”No. Logic does not feed audio into a MIDI FX slot. Use Contrapunk Guitar as an Audio FX and route Contrapunk Guitar MIDI Out to an instrument.
Can Contrapunk host my VST3 instrument directly?
Section titled “Can Contrapunk host my VST3 instrument directly?”Use your DAW to host instruments. Generic direct instrument hosting is parked work and is not part of the current supported workflow.
Do I need transport running?
Section titled “Do I need transport running?”Immediate harmony usually works without it. Transport is required for presets and lanes that schedule beat-relative counterpoint, canons, echoes, or patterns.
Why does a note still ring after the MIDI gate ends?
Section titled “Why does a note still ring after the MIDI gate ends?”The destination may have sustain, a long release, delay, or reverb. MIDI ownership and audible tail are different. Check note-off in a MIDI monitor, then inspect the instrument and effects.
Are browser presets synchronized with desktop?
Section titled “Are browser presets synchronized with desktop?”No automatic cross-device synchronization is promised. Browser storage belongs to that browser profile and origin.
Where should I report a bug?
